Raising Strength
Remembering my father full of life, the one that I will always remember with the gentle smile, soft voice and charismatic personality full of amazing stories.
Thank you for raising a little girl who doubted herself in many ways, turning her into a strong woman who can smile in the face of adversity, to believe in herself no matter what life has in store for us.
Thank you for giving me wings and trusting me that I could fly.
I came across this poem by Mary Elizabeth Frye and it reminded me that my father would be saying this if he saw me cry.
“Do not stand on my grave and weep,
I am not there, I don’t sleep,
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the softly falling snow,
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I don’t die”
I truly believe you are here right beside me!
